As the name implies, this package policy is
intended to protect your contents and the liability exposure you have, by
virtue of being a tenant or renter in someone else's building. The coverages provided under the tenant policy can be either All Risk or
Named Perils (see the Homeowner's section for a brief explanation of the
difference and other coverage extensions). Landlords have relatively few obligations to compensate tenants for
damage to or loss of tenants' personal possessions. Tenants, on the other
hand, are responsible for harm they may have caused to any part of the
building in which they live or to others who live or visit there. Tenants can choose from a variety of insurance policies that remove much

Homeowner's policies are designed to provide under a single policy;
coverage for home, contents, outbuildings, liability and special items. The
"packaging" of a group of coverages makes the policy easier to
understand, provides better coverage, and reduces the cost. Although several
